Oak Bay Duck Ponds Restoration Volunteer Event

Calling all Fathers (and spouses, and offspring, and people who just know fathers…)!

Come on out to the duck ponds on Saturday this coming weekend — June 20th — to help with clean up and celebrate Father’s Day by making the world just a bit better. We’ll be pulling reed canary grass, picking up some trash, and cutting back blackberry where we find it.

Please bring boots (or even waders), gloves, and shears for cutting back the grass that we can’t pull by the roots. Hats, sunscreen, and water are also recommended.

When: Saturday June 20th 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Where: duck ponds at Bowker Creek just downstream of the Oak Bay High School track.
