Wetlands Restoration
I’ll be hosting another habitat restoration session this coming Saturday, July 25th, from 10-12 at the uppermost wetland at the end of Armstrong Avenue.
This restoration effort along Oak Bay’s Bowker Creek Park walkway is part of the Chum Salmon Recovery Program to improve salmon habitat in Bowker Creek. Invasive plants are replaced with native plants to restore riparian habitat and enhance the biodiversity corridor.
Bring waterproof boots and gloves. Tools are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you’d like.
